when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.
Mission
Vision
We are part of co-creation of living ecosystems where people experience greater wellbeing, sustained resilience and genuine connectedness through cultivating mindful attention, warm curiosity, and compassion.
What We Do
As one of the pioneers of its kind in Vietnam, AMVN aims to create quality learning experiences where people feel safe, supported and welcomed, especially the vulnerable and the disadvantaged.
We focus on three key areas:
- Professional Training: Implement the Oxford-developed mindfulness program, tailored both general public and workplaces
- Community: Introduce realistic and easy-to-apply mindful activities that can naturally integrate into community events, making mindfulness accessible and enjoyable
- Collaboration: Build a professional network of mindfulness teachers and contributing to cross-cultural research in Vietnam and beyond
Values
- Context awareness: We respect contemplative traditions and introduce science-backed mindfulness with awareness of our local culture and history.
- Care: Adopt the Trauma-sensitive Mindfulness (TSM) in making mindfulness safe, inclusive, and accessible, especially for the disadvantaged in Vietnam.
- Competence: Deliver mindfulness programs with skill, care, and real-world experience.
- Respect: Honor individual differences, diverse values, and the dignity of every participant.
- Authenticity: We integrate warm attention, appreciative joy, and genuine care into work and daily life.
Who we are
Founded by Nhi Pham, Applied Mindfulness Vietnam (AMVN) is a small but dedicated company committed to cultivating a culture of presence, compassion, and resilience.
We view mindfulness not as a quick fix, but as a lifelong skill. When practised with care, integrity, and context-relevance, mindfulness can unlock the potential to transform the quality of our mental health, wellbeing, and relationship. Science supports this, and so do our lived experiences.
Based in Hue, we are delighted to have a small yet diverse team of both Vietnamese and international members. This unique blend allows us to bring mindfulness initiatives to life from a variety of perspectives.
